Inviting people from outside
Work with a customer, partner or contractor in one room, without giving them anything else in Harmony.
Invite someone
- Open the room, choose ⋮ in its header and then Room settings.
- On the Members tab, choose Invite people from outside.
- Enter their email address, such as dana.whitfield@larkspurhealth.org. Add more than one if you need to.
- Choose Send invitation.
They get an email invitation. Until they accept, they're listed as Invited, not joined yet. Once they join, they're marked External in the member list.
If the address belongs to someone already in your organization, Harmony adds them to the room straight away instead.
What they see
People you invite from outside see only the rooms and workstreams they were invited into, under your organization's name. They don't see Commons, your other rooms, your wiki or anything else in Harmony.
Their side
The invitation opens a Room invitation page. They create an account with the address the invitation was sent to, or sign in if they already have one, and land in the room.
An invitation works once, and only for the address it was sent to. If it has expired or been used, ask the person to request a new one.
