Teams

Teams

A team names a business unit, such as Engineering or Go-to-market. People can belong to more than one. Teams are how Harmony applies the same rules to a group: a monthly budget, the models its members may pick, and the goals its work is read against.

Teams page listing each team with its members, led by the Teams, Org members and Commit activity tabs

The Teams page

Choose Teams in the organization sidebar. The page has three tabs:

Tab What it shows
Teams Every team, with its members. Expand a card to see who is in it, or open a team to manage it.
Org members Everyone in the organization, with their workspaces, teams, role and status. Global Admins change roles here and choose Invite to organization to bring someone in. See Inviting people.
Commit activity Work committed across every team's workstreams, over the year. See Audit & History.

Create a team

  1. On the Teams tab, choose Create team.
  2. Enter the Team name.
  3. Under Seed members (optional), choose Add existing org members… and pick people to start with.
  4. Choose Create team.

To rename a team or change its icon and colour, choose Edit team on its row or its page.

Add and remove members

  1. Open the team from the Teams tab.
  2. On the Members tab, choose Add team member.
  3. Pick people who are already in the organization and choose Assign members, or enter an Email and a Role to invite someone new. They join the team when they finish registering.
  4. To take someone out of the team, open the three-dot menu on their row and revoke their team access. They stay in the organization.

If your plan has no seats left, the dialog says "No seats left. Pending invites already reserve a seat." See Plans and seats.

Open a member to see their profile: the teams they belong to, their workstreams and approvals, and their own commit activity.

Rules that attach to a team

There is no single policy editor. Each rule is set on the page where it applies:

Rule Where to set it What it does
Monthly budget Spend → Budgets A budget in money on the team's AI spend, on Scale and Enterprise. See Budgets and spend.
Models its members may pick Models, under picking a model in chat Replaces the organization's list for the team's members. See The Models page.
A provider key for the team Models → Providers & keys Lets an organization key serve only some teams. See Bring your own model.
Goals Outcomes → New goal Targets the team's work is read against. See Setting goals.

Approvals stay with each workstream. See Approvals.

Delete a team

  1. Open the team and choose Edit team, or use the menu on its row.
  2. Choose Delete team and confirm.

The team is removed for everyone. Its members stay in the organization, and their spend counts against their other teams from then on. Harmony won't delete a team that still has goals, a budget or an organization key that serves only it; the message says what to move or remove first. Only organization admins can delete teams.

FAQs

Can someone be in more than one team? Yes. Their spend counts against each team they belong to.

Who can create and change teams? Organization admins.

Where did the team Budget tab go? Budgets are set and read on Spend → Budgets, and a team's spend against its budget shows in Outcomes.

What is commit activity? A record of the work committed on the team's workstreams over the year, like a contribution graph. See Audit & History.
