Marketplace and Apps

Marketplace and Apps

The Marketplace is where you find Loops and tools built by Harmony and by verified developers, and install them to run on your own connections. Every listing says what it reads, what it writes and what a run costs before you install it. Apps are different: they're identities your own tools use to post into rooms under their own name and icon.

What's in the Marketplace

Kind What you get when you install it
Loop Recurring work that runs on a schedule, on your own connections, as you. Each person who wants it installs their own copy.
Tool Something Harmony Agent can use when you ask. A tool is installed once for everyone in the organization.

Listings come from Harmony and from verified publishers: developers whose identity Harmony has checked. Before a listing is published it passes automated checks, and anything that writes to people outside the installer's company is also reviewed by a person at Harmony.

How installing works

  1. You find a listing and read what it does, what it reads and what it writes.
  2. You install it. Your organization's install policy decides whether that happens straight away or goes to a steward (an owner or admin) to approve.
  3. A Loop runs on your connections, as you. Its runs count against your usage limit, like any Loop.

FAQs

Can a Marketplace listing see my data? It runs inside your organization, on your connections, and reaches only what its steps declare. The publisher sees install and run counts, never your records, results or connections.

What does a listing cost? Listings are free to install. Each run counts against the usage limit of the person whose copy ran, the same as any Loop.

Who decides what can be installed? Your organization's owners and admins, through the install policy. See Install requests and policy.
