Related files and the graph

Related files and the graph

Harmony works out how your files relate: which link to each other, which read alike, and which share names or values. You can follow those connections one file at a time, or see the whole wiki as a graph.

The wiki graph: files grouped into clusters, with links between them

Related files

Open a file and choose Related under the preview. It lists:

Label Meaning
Links to / Linked from / Linked both ways One file links to the other in its text
Similar The files read alike
Shared values Both mention the same names, codes or figures

To connect two files Harmony hasn't linked, select them and choose Mark as related.

A file that isn't indexed yet shows This file is not indexed yet, so its links to other files are not known.

The graph

  1. In the Company Wiki, choose Graph in the sidebar.
  2. Files appear as nodes, grouped into coloured clusters by subject.
  3. The lines show why two files connect. The legend at the bottom explains them: Link in text, Similar wording and Same name or ID.

Use the controls at the top to:

  • filter by cluster (All clusters) or by file type (All file types);
  • show or hide clusters and kinds of link;
  • fit the graph, go full screen, and zoom in or out.

Select a node to see which file it is. From a file's details you can also choose Focus in graph to find it on the map.

FAQs

Why is a file on its own in the graph? Nothing links to it or reads like it yet. Link it from a related page, or use Mark as related.
