Indexing
Indexing is how Harmony reads a file so it can be searched, linked to other files and used by Harmony Agent. It happens automatically whenever a file arrives or changes.
Read the status
The control at the top of the wiki shows the index at a glance, for example 21/21 · 131: 21 of 21 files indexed, and 131 links found between them. Open it for Knowledge index:
| Item | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Files | How many files are indexed |
| Links | Connections found between files |
| Clusters | Groups of files on the same subject |
| Numbers read from files | Figures Harmony picked out of tables and text |
Each file shows Indexing, Indexed or Index failed.
Reindex
When a file's source changed or its index failed, it's marked need reindex (source changed).
- Open the index status.
- Choose Select all files needing reindex, or select files yourself.
- Choose Reindex.
You can stop a running index with Cancel indexing.
Files that can't be indexed
Format not supported and Empty file mean there is nothing Harmony can read. The file stays in the wiki but doesn't appear in search.
