Adding files
You can add documents to a wiki by uploading them, by dropping them anywhere in the wiki, or by creating them in place. Each file is indexed as soon as it arrives, so it shows up in search and in the graph.
Drop files
Drag files from your computer onto the wiki. You can drop them on any view: Files, Graph or search.
Upload many files at once
- In the wiki, choose Open bulk upload.
- Drop files or folders on it, or use Choose folder.
- Follow progress in Bulk upload to wiki. Use Retry failed for any that didn't make it, and Clear uploaded to tidy the list.
Create files and folders
Right-click in Files to upload files, create a new file or add a subfolder where you clicked.
What happens next
Each new file is indexed: Harmony reads it, makes it searchable and works out how it relates to the other files. The indexing status at the top of the wiki counts files as they finish. See Indexing.
Files the index can't read show Format not supported or Empty file. They stay in the wiki but aren't searchable.
Bring files from a connected app
To bring in files from a connected app such as Google Drive, add it as a source instead of uploading by hand. See External files.
FAQs
What file types can I add? Markdown and text, PDFs, Word documents, slides, spreadsheets and images all preview in the wiki. Anything else is stored and listed, but may not be searchable.
