Finding settings

Finding settings

Business Summary: Whether you need to confirm your identity, check NTU usage, or share a billing link with finance, this guide shows every path to Settings — sidebar, user menu, and header shortcuts.

You will learn every entry point to workspace settings, deep links to each tab, and shortcuts to Usage & Billing from the header.

Settings live under Settings in the sidebar (sometimes labeled Workspace settings in the user menu).

How this fits in Nimbus

Settings are reachable from global navigation — not buried inside a workstream. That keeps org-wide concerns (identity, billing, workspace context) separate from goal-scoped work.

Most users open Settings from the sidebar. Power users jump to billing from the NTU meter when a run warned about budget pressure.

Entry points

Sidebar → Admin → Settings

The primary path from the left navigation. Opens Settings with the Profile tab selected by default.

User menu → Workspace settings

The avatar or user menu often includes Workspace settings — the same destination as the sidebar link.

Header NTU meter

Click the NTU meter in the workspace header to jump directly to Usage & Billing. This is the fastest path when a run warned you about budget pressure.

Equivalent destination: Settings → Usage & Billing

Billing redirect

Older bookmarked links to billing still open Settings → Usage & Billing.

Deep links by tab

Tab How to open
Profile Settings → Profile
Members & Directory Settings → Members & Directory (when shown)
Workspace Settings → Workspace
Usage & Billing Settings → Usage & Billing
Security Settings → Security

After you select a tab, you can bookmark the page from your browser if you return to it often.

What is not under Settings

Connectors, Governance, workstreams, Company Wiki, and Onboarding live elsewhere in the sidebar — Settings covers identity, org context, Usage & Billing, and security only. There is no standalone Billing nav item; open Settings → Usage & Billing for usage, plans, payment methods, and invoices.

Destination Where to find it
Connectors Connectors in the sidebar
Governance Governance
Workstreams hub Workstreams in the sidebar
Company Wiki Company Wiki
Onboarding Onboarding

Mobile and narrow layouts

Sidebar collapse may hide Admin group — open the user menu for Workspace settings. NTU meter may compact to an icon; it still links to Usage when visible.

Example scenario

Finance asks for the usage dashboard before a budget meeting. You click the header NTU meter, land on Usage & Billing, and bookmark the page. You share the bookmark with your admin — no need to navigate through Profile or Workspace tabs first.

Keyboard and power-user tips

On desktop, the sidebar Settings link stays visible while you work inside a workstream — you do not need to exit the goal first. After opening Usage & Billing, bookmark the browser tab if finance reviews consumption weekly. The NTU meter in the header is the fastest path when a Confirm & run dialog warned about budget pressure mid-approval.

What you'll see
