Starting and joining a Sync
Start a Sync
- Open the room, workstream or direct message.
- Choose the headphones in its header.
- In the Sync preview, check your microphone and camera, then join.
You can also choose + at the foot of the rail and then Sync.
In a room, members get a notice that a Sync is live (if the workspace allows it). In a direct message, the other person is rung.
Join a Sync
- From the room: a live Sync shows in the room's header; choose Join sync.
- From Activity or a notification: choose the invitation, such as Zac Radbone wants to Sync with you, check your devices in the preview and join.
- From the Syncs page: choose it under Live now.
In the call

When someone shares their screen, it fills the stage. If someone is already presenting, Harmony asks before you Present anyway.
Keep working while you talk
Minimize sync shrinks the call to a bar so you can use the rest of Harmony. Open sync brings it back. In the desktop app you can Pin sync dock, which keeps a small dock on top of your other windows.
Switch devices
If you join the same Sync on another device, the first one shows This Sync moved to another device, with Switch to this device to bring it back.
FAQs
Harmony can't use my microphone or camera. Allow access in your browser's site settings (or in System Settings on a Mac for the desktop app), then try again. If another app is using the device, close it first.
Can I be in two Syncs at once? No. Joining another asks whether to Leave & join.
