What are connectors?

A connector is a link between Harmony and another piece of software, such as Gmail, Slack, Google Drive, HubSpot or GitHub. When you connect one, you sign in to that app once, and Harmony Agent can use it on your behalf in chats, workstreams and Loops.

What the agent can do with a connector

Kind of work Example Does it ask first?
Read Find last week's emails from Larkspur Health, list open GitHub issues, read a sheet No
Create Draft a document, add a row, open an issue Yes, unless you allowed it
Change Update a deal stage, edit a calendar event Yes, unless you allowed it
Send Post to a Slack channel, send an email Yes, unless you allowed it

Reads happen as part of answering you. Anything that creates, changes or sends something in another app stops on an approval card in the chat until you say yes. See Approving connector writes.

Whose connection is it?

A connection belongs to you, in one workspace. When you connect Slack, it is your Slack account that Harmony uses, and only in that workspace.

  • Chats and Loops that run as you use your connections.
  • If you disconnect, the chats and Loops that run as you can no longer use that app until you connect it again.
  • Other people connect their own accounts. Harmony never borrows someone else's sign-in.

The catalogue

The Connectors page lists more than 3,000 apps. Each card shows the app's category and whether you are Connected or Not connected. You can search by name, category or use case (for example ERP, CRM or Slack) and filter by status and category.

Who can connect apps

Every member of the organization can connect and disconnect their own apps. Guests can't manage connectors.

FAQs

Do I need to connect an app before the agent can use it? Yes. The agent only uses apps you have connected.

Can the agent see everything in a connected app? It sees what your account in that app can see, and it reads only what a request needs.

Does connecting an app cost anything? Connecting is free. The work the agent does with an app counts toward your usage like any other work.
